Follica names new president and CEO

Dr Ju will join existing board members including Ms Zohar, Kirk Raab, former CEO of Genentech, president and COO of Abbott and current chairman of Follica, Protalex, and Transcept, Kevin Bitterman, principal at Polaris Venture Partners, and Chris Ehrlich, general partner at InterWest Partners. Prior to joining Follica, Dr Ju was COO at PTC Therapeutics. Prior to PTC, Dr Ju was vice president in R&D at Pharmacia and held executive positions at Merck Research Laboratories in a broad spectrum of product development functions. Dr Ju has earned an AB at Princeton University and a MD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Ms Zohar said: "We are thrilled to welcome Bill Ju as the CEO of Follica.
