CubeTree picks up $8 million

CubeTree, a provider of a hosted online social networking platform with integrated collaboration tools for large businesses, has secured $8 million in Series B financing led by InterWest Partners with participation from existing investor Trinity Ventures.
Bruce Cleveland of InterWest Partners is joining CubeTree's board of directors in connection with the funding.
So far, CubeTree, which launched in May, has raised nearly $12 million from InterWest Partners, Trinity Ventures and industry Lotus Development Corp.founder Mitch Kapor.
