Brand.net gets $10M in 2nd round

Brand.net, an online advertising network focused exclusively on brand advertising, said Tuesday it closed a second round of funding with $10 million.
San Mateo-based Brand.net said the round was led by Palo Alto-based Norwest Venture Partners.
Also participating was InterWest Partners, which has an office in Menlo Park.
“Brand advertising is the biggest growth opportunity online,” said Robert Abbott of Norwest Venture Partners, who will join Brand.net’s board of directors. “With its experienced team and proprietary technology, Brand.net is well-positioned to capture substantial market share and financial returns. We are very excited about the Brand.net value proposition.”
