Diatos Named Among the 2005 Red Herring 100 Europe; Biotech Recognized as One of Most Promising Private European & Israeli Startups

Paris, France - April 14, 2005 — PRNewswire — Diatos S.A. has been recognized as one of a select 100 companies driving the future of technology in Europe and Israel by Red Herring, a US-based media company that covers innovation, technology, financing and entrepreneurial activity. This honor included a presentation by Diatos President & CEO Dr. John Tchelingerian at the Venture Market Europe 2005 conference held in London, April 12-14. Diatos, headquartered in Paris, was founded in 1999 as a spin-off from Institut Pasteur (Paris, France) and is developing new therapies for cancer.

"Diatos is very proud to have been selected among the 100 leading private companies in innovation and technology by Red Herring — an influential authority known throughout the world for its comprehensive analysis of the high tech field. This honor signifies being recognized 'best among the best,'" said Dr. Tchelingerian. "Diatos is using proprietary technologies to develop novel cancer therapeutics and rapidly move them into clinical trials. Being named a Red Herring Europe 100 Winner will broaden our visibility in the international marketplace."

Red Herring's lists of top private companies are an important part of the magazine's tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs. Companies like Google and eBay were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors as those that would change the way we live and work. This is the first time that Red Herring magazine has compiled a list focused exclusively on the most promising startups in Europe.
