Avaak, the industry leader in easy-to-use video mesh networking technology, today announced its Vue™ personal video network is one of the recipients of Today's Caregiver Magazine's 2009 Caregiver Friendly® Awards. The Caregiver Friendly Awards are designed to celebrate products, services, books and media created with the needs of caregivers in mind, and the Vue has been recognized as an innovative new technology within the highly-competitive product category.

Combining real-time video imaging and Web connectivity, the Vue system virtually joins caregivers to their loved one or patient using a network of miniature, battery-powered wire-free cameras that can be placed just about anywhere. Using a proprietary ultra-low power wireless network technology to maximize battery life, the cameras have a range of up to 300 feet to view what is happening inside, and even outside, the house.
With cameras in place, caregivers simply log onto their personal VueZone.com account to instantly see live video streaming from a selected camera. In addition to live viewing, the video can be recorded, scheduled and even shared. The Vue system is Internet based so that caregivers can view remotely from any browser or Flash-enabled mobile device.

The Caregiver Friendly Award will be presented at the magazine's Fearless Caregiver Conference on June 18, 2009, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Additionally, award winners will be profiled in the July/August issue of Today's Caregiver and on Caregiver.com.
