Early Stage Venture Capital Funding

InterWest focuses primarily on providing venture capital to early stage companies. This includes funding company building, including de novo company formation at the firm.

On the life sciences side, InterWest offers venture capital to an array of early-stage companies, including funding preclinical companies with great potential. The firm will also consider investing in — or starting in house — new companies around clinical or commercial stage assets.

On the IT side, InterWest provides venture capital to early-stage companies with near-term ROI-based value propositions. The firm typically favors funding development stage companies.

InterWest invests an average of about $10 - 15 million of venture capital over the span of our involvement with each company in our portfolio. Although we generally begin our involvement in the early stages of a company's development, we pursue attractive opportunities based on their individual merits rather than their investment stage.
