Information Technology: Funding the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

InterWest has been funding information technology companies since 1979. Providing venture capital is just the first step in our process. We offer portfolio companies the benefit of our own deep operating experience and our substantial networks in the IT industry. In doing so, we hope to establish long-term relationships with the entrepreneurs and companies with whom we invest.

Information technology companies have been central to each of InterWest's ten venture capital funds. We've provided funding to many companies that have gone on to become IT leaders — including Copper Mountain Networks, Ciena Corporation and Silicon Graphics.
